Late Summer Hummingbirds in Essex
August & September 2009
Male Hummingbirds become less aggressive as we head through August &
September though seeing more than
one at a time on the feeder is still a rarity. Before heading south, now
that breeding season is over, they molt
a good portion of their body feathers as you can see in the images below.
