Ivory Gull & Long-eared Owl
January 25, 2009

The Ivory Gull found in Plymouth by Barry Burden put on quite a show in the Plymouth Harbor boat ramp
parking lot behind the East Bay Grille today. The shot above shows it at quite a distance on the breakwater
which is where if flew after feasting on chicken in the parking lot.

A stunning gull that had the chicken to
itself despite the many other
larger gulls in the area.

A Herring Gull started tearing
at the carcass once the
Ivory Gull flew off.

A flock of 50 - 60 White-winged Crossbills moved around the campground throughout the day.
