An early morning ride on the 30th turned up a few great birds. The Great Blue Heron was roosting along the Essex River, The Screech Owl, watching traffic along Rte 133 The Red-tailed Hawks, looking over a field along Rte 133 |

The Curlew Sandpiper being seen at Sandy Point State Reservation is still there 17 days later. A stop at Sandy Point on the 25th turned up lots of shorebirds like the Dunlin, Red Knot & White-rumped Sandpiper below. |
