Red-tailed Hawks - Maudslay State Park

A pair of Red-tailed Hawks set up housekeeping behind the office at
Maudslay State Park this spring.

I managed to catch up with the
family before the headed
off for parts unknown.

Red-tailed Hawk, adult at the nest - June 14, 2010

June 14th found the adult bringing food to the 2 young
hawks when I arrived around noon.

The young hawk's crop is quite full
as seen in the photos above.

A return visit on June 21, 2010 found both young hawks perching away from the nest

The young hawks kept a wary eye on everyone
that passed within sight of the nest.

I'm guessing they'll have fledged before
I can return in a week or so.
