A stop at Salisbury Beach State Park mid day found a very cooperative Snowy Owl getting loads
of attention from all that drove or walked by. It stayed on the picnic table in the campground
for the 2 hours I and several others spent ooohing & aaahing over its every move...
and it made PLENTY!

As you can see from the photo on the left, the owl was very nonchalant about all of the attention.

The photo below was taken through Eric Smith's
600mm lens. Thanks Eric!

A bit of birding  in Gloucester & Essex before Steve's walk turned up a few nice birds.

I was asked on Steve Grinley's Eagles & Owls walk on Sunday if a Snowy Owls feet were feathered..

The image above certainly shows the extent to
which they are and what a set of talons!

An hour or so into my time with the owl it
coughed up a pellet.

I was hoping to get a closer look at it before
I left but the bird stayed put, continuing
to put on quite a show.
